About Me
Hello, my name is Freddie D. Brooks. I've produly called Alexander City home for the past 44 years. I was born in Birmingham, Alabama, to Mary Drake Brooks and Freddie Brooks, and I have three wonderful sisters: Temika, Quwanza, and Mary Ashley.
I'm a graudate of Benjamin Russell High School, class of 1999, and an alumnus of both Faulkner University and Jefferson State Community College. I currently serve as the IT Assistant Mananger at Seoyon E-HWA Auburn in Dadeville, Alabama. I'm also a devoted member of Word Bible Church under the leadership of Apostle Wayne Davis.
During the pandemic, I had the honor of mentoring several young men whose high school graduation ceremonies were canceled or restricted. To support their next steps, each received a college starter basket as they began their freshman year. Tragically, one of those students, Michael C. Gibbs, passed away during this first year. In his memory, I founded the Michael C.Gibbs memorial Scholarship to help other young people pursue higher education.
I'm not a politician-I'm a lifelong member of this community who cares deeply about public safety, affordable housing, and making sure your voice is heard at City Hall.
